DoverPhila Federal Credit Union Encourages Youth to Get Financially Fit

Financial literacy is a crucial life skill for young people, but it is one that too few are learning. As a credit union, one of our founding principles is concern for community. We believe financially-prepared kids are one way communities get stronger and that is why from April 18th – April 23rd, DoverPhila Federal Credit Union is celebrating National Youth Savings Week.

The theme of the week-long savings event is “Credit Union Strong.” For that week, DoverPhila is focusing on helping youth, ages 17 and under, to become more financially fit by encouraging them to strengthen their money skills and pump up their savings through deposits made to their Kids Club or cu$aver accounts. We are giving all qualified youth who participate in the savings event a 10% bonus up to $10 paid on deposits. We are also having a random drawing for participants to win a $50 MasterCard® Gift Card – awarded to one cu$aver and one Kids Club member – and a drawing for a chance to win the Youth Week grand prize.
